The Porsche 356 was the first car of the German brand Porsche. Designed by Ferry Porsche on the mechanical bases of the Volkswagen Beetle (for reasons of economy) and designed by Erwin Komenda, it was produced in series from 1948 to 1965. The creation of the “Speedster” version, a convertible version, at the end of 1954, imagined by Max Hoffman Porsche importer for the United States, known a huge success thanks to its very low and very curved windshield which gave it an exceptional line….

The Porsche 356 Speedster seduced all the stars of its time, including American actor James Dean. He competed in several races with, before turning to a real competition model, the Porsche 550.
